Gilberto Rendon Cantu

EDINBURG – Gilberto Rendon Cantu, 74, went home to the Lord Friday, November 8, 2019, at his residence in Edinburg.
Gilberto was born and lived in Edinburg his entire life.
He is preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Cristy Cantu.
Gilberto is survived by his wife, Beatrice Cantu of Edinburg; three children, Manuel (Jackie) Cantu, Dina Cantu, both of Edinburg, Gilberto (Stacy) Cantu Jr. of Mercedes; eight grandchildren, Eric and Isabella Vega, Manuel Andres and Estrella Cantu, Roy and Gabriel Rodriguez, Kirsten and Brooke Gamez; and four siblings, Manuela Lopez of Grand Prairie, Joe Luis Cantu, Edward Cantu, both of Edinburg, and Roy Cantu of Jourdanton, TX.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Monday, November 11, 2019, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsa. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
