HAROLDO “HAROLD” ~REQUENEZ

DELMITA — Haroldo “Harold” Requenez, ~85, died Wednesday, February 11,
2009 at Medical City Hospital in Dallas.
Mr. Requenez was born in La Paz, Texas and had lived most of his life in
Delmita. He was a member of First Baptist Church in San Isidro.
He is~preceded in death by a son, Harold Requenez Jr; a daughter, Hilda
Dalia Requenez; a grandson, Ricardo Gabriel Requenez; his parents, Blas
and Refugia Requenez; four brothers and three sisters.
Mr. Requenez is survived by his wife, Herminia L. Requenez of Delmita; two
sons, Ricardo (Sylvia) Requenez and Mario (Cynthia) Requenez both of
Edinburg; three daughters, Edna (Robert) Villarreal and Nelda Requenez
both of McAllen and Irene (Ramiro) Lopez of Edinburg; 13 grandchildren and
13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Hortencia Hinojosa of Puerto Rico,
Texas and Maria Elena Pena of Edinburg.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service
today, February 13, 2009, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in
Edinburg.~Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 14, 2009,
at First Baptist Church in Edinburg.~Pastor Ricardo Brambila will be
officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post #7473 of Elsa and America’s
Last Patrol Post #3 of RGV. Pallbearers will be Harold Requenez III, Mario
Requenez Jr., Randy Requenez, Marcos Lopez, Mario G. Saenz and Romeo
Flores. Honorary pallbearer will be Raul Villarreal.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in
Edinburg.
