SILVESTRE "PRIETA" G. REQUENEZ
ALICE - Silvestre "Preita" G. Requenez, 92, went to be with our lord, Friday, December 10, 2010, at RJ Meridian Care Nursing Home in Alice, Texas.
She was born in Nuevo Leon, Mexico and had lived in Pharr most of her life. Mrs. Requenez was a loving and devoted wife, sister, and was a very active person who loved to travel. Her hobby was sewing. She worked for thirty years in La Dama Elegante Fabric Store in Mcallen and will be missed dearly by all. The Requenez family would like give a special thanks to Leonel and Albelina for all their help and support for the last years of her life, aswell to RJ Meridian Care and staff in Alice,Tx.
She is preceded in death by her husband Oralio Requenez; two brothers, Manuel Garza and Rodolfo Garza; and a sister, Herminia Perez.
Mrs. Requenez is survived by her brother, Leonel (Abelina) Garza of Alice, Texas; three sisters, Ofelia G.(Domingo) Gutierrez of Corpus Christi, Texas, Emma G. (Jose) Garza of Robstown, Texas and Santos G. (Mike) of Corpus Christi, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral service will be at 2 pm Today, Monday, December 13, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
