ALAMO - Tomasa Lopez Reyes, 83, died Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at McAllen Medical Center.
Born in McAllen, Mrs. Reyes was formerly of Pharr and had lived in Alamo for the past 21 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Encarnacion and Gerarda Lopez.
Mrs. Reyes is survived by her husband, Jose Guadalupe Reyes of Alamo; two sons, Saul (Ella) Reyes of Alamo, Joel Reyes of Pharr; two daughters, Judge Maria Socorro Reyes (Francisco) Leos and Rosalinda Reyes, both of Alamo; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; six brothers, Pilar Lopez of Dinura, California, Gaudencio Lopez, Pedro Lopez, Domingo Lopez, Juan De Dios Cerda, all of Pharr, Jesus Lopez of Edinburg; five sisters, Susana Lopez, Rafaela Macias, both of Pharr, Ninfa Gonzalez of Edinburg, Esmeregilda Tapia of Houston, Texas and Sabina Rodriguez of Arkansas.
She gave so much love and happiness to all those whose lives she touched.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm rosary, today, May 22, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 am, Saturday, May 23, 2009 at St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Pharr. Intement will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Pallbearers will be Reece Reyes, Joseph Reyes, Jose Alejandro Chihuahua, Thomas Chihuahua, Andres Espinoza and Gilberto Gonzalez.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
