ANTONIO ALFONSO "TONY" REYNA EDINBURG - Antonio Alfonso "Tony" Reyna, 31, died Thursday, October 8, 2015, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. Born in McAllen, Tony had lived in Edinburg all of his life. He attended Edinburg North High School where he played football for the Cougars, and went to Bi-District State Championship. He graduated high school in 2002 and went on to continue his studies at UTPA where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in English, and was currently working on his Master's Degree in Public Administration. Tony also worked at UTPA as the Administrative Coordinator for the Graduate Office. Tony was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Micaela and Alfonso Trejo; and his paternal grandfather, Antonio Reyna. Tony is survived by his parents, Reynaldo and Sylvia Reyna; a brother, David (Kim Fernandez) Reyna; two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Reyna and Norma Linda Reyna; his paternal grandmother, Sara Reyna; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Sunday, October 11, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 Monday, October 12, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
