ISMAEL "SMILEY" REYNA EDINBURG - Ismael "Smiley" Reyna, 61, died Thursday, January 1, 2015, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. Mr. Reyna was born in Lima, OH and had lived in Edinburg most of his life. He is preceded in death by his father, Israel G. Reyna; and a nephew, Edgar Flores. Ismael is survived by his wife, Nielda Reyna; his mother, Victoria C. Reyna; and five siblings, Israel (Debra) Reyna, Jr., Isidro (Claudia) Reyna, Irma (Criserio) Gonzlez, Irene Zamora, Isidoro (America Garza) Reyna, all of Edinburg. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, January 5, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Cremation will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
