ISRAEL G. "CHATO" REYNA EDINBURG - Israel G. "Chato" Reyna, 83, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. Born in Runge, TX, Mr. Reyna had lived in Edinburg all of his life. He is preceded in death by his parents, Severo and Martiana Reyna; and three brothers, Rodolfo, Reyes, Romero Reyna. Israel is survived by his wife of 62 years, Victoria C. Reyna of Edinburg; six children, Israel (Debra) Reyna, Jr., Ismael (Nilda) Reyna, Isidro (Claudia) Reyna, Irma (Cris) Gonzalez, all of Edinburg, Irene Reyna of Pharr, and Isidoro (America Garza) Reyna of Edinburg; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Ricardo Reyna of San Antonio, TX and Reynaldo Reyna of Houston, TX; a sister, Soila Acuna of Michigan. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, February 21, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
