EDINBURG - Maria R. Reyna, 89, died Saturday, October 1, 2016, at Senior Care in Edinburg.
Born in Gustavo Diaz Ordaz, Tamaulipas, Mexico, Mrs. Reyna had lived in Edinburg most of her life.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ascencion F. Reyna; and a granddaughter, Brandy Teran Saxton.
Maria is survived by nine children, Irma (David) Lovato of Merced, CA, Amalia (+John) Davila of Atwater, CA, Mary Lou (Johnny) Muñoz, Cresencio (Norma) Reyna, Becky (Rene) Ruiz, all of Houston, Sylvia (Arnoldo) Davila of Edinburg, Hilda (Joe) Herrera of Rio Grande City, Estela (Randall) Terran of Atwater, CA, Angelica (Raul) Vargas of Pflugerville, TX; 28 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Rodolfo Ramirez of Sullivan City and Reymundo Ramirez of San Luis Potosi, MX.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, October 4, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10a.m. , Wednesday , October 5, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
