Cosme Riojas

EDINBURG - Cosme Riojas, 83, went home to our Lord Sunday, July 25, 2021, at Amara Hospice in Edinburg.
Mr. Riojas was born and had lived in Edinburg all of his life. He served in the U.S. Army. His passions were golfing and fishing which he enjoyed with his family.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Maria Luisa Riojas; his parents, Faustino and Flora Riojas; and a brother, Luis Riojas.
Mr. Riojas is survived by three children, Ricardo (Ana) Riojas of Edinburg, Daniel (Annabel) Riojas of San Juan, and Dalia (Tito) Garza of Edinburg; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and ten siblings, Pedro Riojas, Faustino Riojas, Omar Riojas, Rogelio Riojas, Ruben Riojas, Adan Riojas, Juana Perez, Flora Garcia, Diana Ruelas, and Eva Enriquez.\
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at Memorial Event Center, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 8788 of McAllen.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
