EDINBURG - Antero Rios, Jr., 86, died Monday, March 28, 2011, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Rios was born in Tilden, Texas and had lived in Edinburg most of his life. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Natalia Rios.
Mr. Rios is survived by five children, Yolanda (Josue) Quintanilla, of Edcouch, Leonel Rios, Alberto (Belinda) Rios, Hector (Norma) Rios, all of Edinburg, Homero Rios, of Austin; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Gregorio Rios, of Edinburg, Pedro Rios, Apolonio Rios, both of Oakley, California; and a sister, Frances De La Garza, of Edinburg.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, March 29, 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
