EDINBURG - Olivia S. Rios, 91, entered eternal rest Monday, January 25, 2021, at her residence in Edinburg.
Born in Los Herreras, Nuevo Leon, she had lived in Edinburg most of her life and raised her family there. Olivia was the co-owner of Raul's Texaco for many years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Raul G. Rios; a son, Raul (Janie) Rios Jr.; a grandson, Andres Rios; her parents, Ramon and Teofila Salinas; and eight siblings, Casimiro Salinas, Raul Salinas, Lazaro Salinas, Ramon Salinas, Lela Vallejo, Cruz Cantu, Otila Dimas, and Marta Solis.
Olivia is survived by four children, Rene S. (Nelda Y.) Rios, Ricardo S. (Cecilia L.) Rios, both of Edinburg, Olga Rios (Jose Luis) Pena of Richmond, Texas, Ofelia Rios (Jose Vicente) Garza of Huffman, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nina Perez of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon.
Olivia was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be missed dearly by so many of whom she left lasting impressions, will remain in everyone's heart, and will never be forgotten.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Sunday, January 31, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Monday, February 1, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
