PASTOR JUAN RIVERA
ALAMO – Pastor Juan Rivera, 75, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021, at McAllen Medical Center.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Tomasa Rivera; and a brother, Javier Rivera.
Mr. Rivera is survived by his wife of 54 years, Amparo Rivera; four children, Juan (Imelda) Rivera, Jesus (Monica) Rivera, Maria Angelica (Ruben Calderon) Rivera, Pedro Rivera; three grandchildren, Desiree Rivera, Kaitlynn Rivera, Emily Anahi Rivera; 11 siblings, Valentina Garza, Pedro Rivera Jr., Anastacio Rivera, Gumecinda Martinez, Naela Rivera, Fernando Rivera, David Rivera, Veronica Rivera, Rodrigo Rivera, Alberto Rivera and Marisela Garza.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. prayer service Monday, May 17, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at Sion del Todo Poderoso in Alamo. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
