ALAMO – Rene Rivera, 44, died Wednesday, June 1, 2016, in McAllen.
Born in Weslaco, he had lived in Alamo most of his life.
He is preceded in death by his father, Raul Rivera; paternal grandfather, Roberto Rivera; maternal grandparents, Emma and Santos M. Ramirez.
Mr. Rivera is survived by his daughter, Roxanne Rivera of Corpus; mother, Rosie (Rogelio) Balli of Alamo; paternal grandmother, Elida Rivera; four uncles, Ricardo (Clariza) Rivera, Ramiro Rivera, Rogelio (Lois) Rivera, Roberto (Noemi) Rivera; five aunts, Elida Crosby, Elizabeth (Adalberto) Garza, Yolanda Herrera, Alicia (Felix) Herrera, and Nellie Rivera; numerous cousins.
Special thanks to Father Rene Angel JCL, from Resurrection Catholic Church and Ricardo Rivera for their moral support and care through this difficult time.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Friday, June 3, 2016, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2016, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Cremation will take place at Memorial Cremation Center in Edinburg.
Funeral services under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
