VIRGINIA BALLI RIVERA
PFLUGERVILLE, TEXAS – Virginia Balli Rivera, 68, lifelong resident passed away, Monday, May 9, 2011, at in her home in Pflugerville, Texas, surrounded by her family.
Virginia was born November 27, 1942, in Cuidad Madero, Tamps. Mexico. She graduated from PSJA High School in 1964. She worked for the Texas Workforce for many years.
Virginia was a very compassionate loving person, who had great faith and a sense of perseverance. Her greatest joy was being a mom and enjoying her 13 grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Pilar Balli; two half-brothers, Pete Vasquez and Efrain Balli.
Virginia is survived by her husband, Tino Rivera Sr., of Pflugerville; five children, Maria del Pilar (Chico) Miranda, of Moorhead, Minnesota, Melissa Rivera, of Pflugerville, Texas, Vanessa Ann Rivera, of Pharr, Texas, Tino Rivera, Jr., of McAllen, Clarissa Dawn (Jorge) Limones, of Pflugerville, Texas; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Sammi (Mary) Balli, of Pharr, Angel (Maria Reyes) Dominguez, of Holland, Michigan; nine half brothers and sisters, Ernestina (Raul), Jorge (Tommy), Esiquio (Irma), Juan (Irene) Vasquez, Lupita (Richard) Piltcher, Fernando (Irene) Ramirez, Leticia, Maria Rosario, and Martin Cervantes.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 p.m. rosary Thursday, May 12, 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 13, 2011, at St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
The family would like to express a sincere thank Dr. Shane Kellar and the Lighthouse Hospice Staff that care for her and the pastors who ministered to her.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
