ROBERT CANTU
MCALLEN – Robert Cantu, 75, passed away Friday, June 7, 2024, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Epifanio Cantu and Eufracia Govea; two siblings, Imelda Villarreal and Dalia Cantu.
Mr. Cantu is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Cantu; two children, Celina Marie (Mark Anthony) Salinas, Christopher Robert (Amanda Rae) Cantu; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Faith Salinas, Carolina Isabella Cantu, Victoria Sofia Cantu; four siblings, Elisa Cantu (David) Diaz, Hermelinda Corona, Eleazar (Carma) Cantu, and Jesus (Cynthia) Cantu.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 7473 of Elsa.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
