Robert D. Wrinkle

Robert D. Wrinkle, 82, passed away peacefully August 10th, 2024 at 5:37 pm.
He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Bobby D as he was known by his friends, was an avid reader, enjoyed his longtime poker group, enjoyed following Yankee baseball, enjoyed traveling with his family, and the occasional fishing trip. One of the greatest joys of his life was the time he was able to spend with his five grandchildren. A longtime resident of Edinburg, he spent his career teaching at Pan American University.
He is preceded in death by his parents Fred H. Wrinkle and Ruby M. Wrinkle. Mr. Wrinkle is survived by his wife, Dorothy A. Wrinkle; two sons, Keith E. Wrinkle (spouse Liliana) and Sean C. Wrinkle. Grandchildren include Luna T. Stowell (spouse Joseph), Diego F. Culp, Hannah M. Wrinkle, Evangeline R. Wrinkle and Eric R. Wrinkle; two great grandchildren, Adaline Mae Stowell and Titus James Stowell. Mr. Wrinkle's five siblings include Fred Wrinkle (spouse Georgeann), Connie Sikes (spouse John), Jan Dallas (spouse Bob), Debby Forrest (spouse Jim), Cathy Breaux (spouse Terry), and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Wrinkle is also survived by two aunts, Mildred New of Victoria and Patty Collins of Pleasanton.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 4 p.m., with a 2 p.m. Memorial Service Saturday, August 17th, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
