EDINBURG - Agapito Rodriguez, 88, died Sunday, July 10, 2016, at Amara Hospice in Edinburg.
Mr. Rodriguez was born in Edinburg and lived there all of his life.
Agapito is preceded in death by his wife, Rosa M. Rodriguez; wife, Valentina R. Rodriguez; parents, Timoteo and Luz G. Rodriguez; and three brothers, Jose Rodriguez, Leondro Rodriguez, and Catarino Rodriguez.
He is survived by five children, Agapito (Teresa) Rodriguez of Edinburg, Maria A. (Frank) Villanueva of San Juan, Irene (James T.) Baker of Edinburg, Robert Rodriguez of Laguna Vista, Marin Ortiz of Edinburg; six grandchildren; 8 great-grandchilden; a brother, Macario Rodriguez of Edinburg; and a sister, Matilde Moss of Edinburg.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, July 12, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. A reception will follow at Memorial Event Center in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
