GILBERTO G. RODRIGUEZ
ALAMO - Gilberto G. Rodriguez, 56, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2010, surrounded by his family at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
Mr. Rodriguez was born in Alamo and had lived there all of his life. He was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo.
He is preceded in death by his mother, San Juanita Rodriguez; and a sister, Martina Luna.
Mr. Rodriguez is survived by his wife, Adelaida Rodriguez of Alamo; three children, Rolando (Monica) Rodriguez of Edinburg, Valerie (Emilio) Alva and Gilbert Rodriguez II, both of San Antonio, Texas; two grandsons, Rolando Javier Rodriguez and Ryan David Rodriguez; his father, Jose Luis Rodriguez of Alamo; and six siblings, Licha (Roberto) Gaytan, Rosa (Telesforo) Garcia, Hilda Guzman, Jose Luis (Gloria) Rodriguez, Ramon Rodriguez and Viola (Benny) Hirsh.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, today, January 21, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Friday, January 22, 2010 at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Alamo.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
