JOSE ISABEL RODRIGUEZ EDINBURG – Jose Isabel Rodriguez, 98, died Monday, December 1, 2014, at his residence in Edinburg. He is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Altagracia Rodriguez; and a son, Rene Rodriguez. Mr. Rodriguez is survived by six sons, Jose Isabel (Socorro) Rodriguez of Edinburg, Hector Rodriguez of Corpus Christi, Francisco Rodriguez of Sioux, IA, Rodolfo (Marianne) Rodriguez of Phoenix AZ, David (Norma) Rodriguez of San Benito, Ricardo (Tracy) Rodriguez of Sioux, IA; seven daughters, Ofelia (Juan) Villarreal, Olga (Gilbert) Garza, Yolanda (Tereso) Jasso, Rosalinda (Carlos) Arevalo, Irene (Joe) Vera, Mary Alice Rodriguez, all of Edinburg, and Irma (Rudy) Cantu of Lasara, TX; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, December 3, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 4, 2014, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
