LUCIO RODRIGUEZ JR.
EDINBURG – Lucio Rodriguez Jr., 79, passed away Monday, May 10, 2021, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Rodriguez was born in Mission, Texas and was raised in Edinburg, Texas. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He spent most of his years as an auto mechanic including working alongside his brother Domingo at D&L Auto Service, which they co-owned. He will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lucio and Josefina Rodriguez; three siblings, Domingo Rodriguez, Neta Rodriguez Contreras, Lupe Rodriguez Garcia.
Mr. Rodriguez is survived by his former spouse, Norma De Leon; three children, Edward Rodriguez, Cindy (Dean) Rodriguez Brown, Sylvia A. (Baldo) Rodriguez Cervantes; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three siblings, Maria Rodriguez Swearinger; Fita Rodriguez Contreras, Gloria Rodriguez Rivera, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m., followed by a 10 a.m. funeral service Friday, May 14, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Pallbearers will be Domingo Rodriguez Jr., Eddie Nega, Deo Cervantes, Amell Treviño, Julian Brown, Adrian Brown.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
