Alamo - Juanita Garcia Rodriguez, 85, died January 3, 2010 at her residence in Alamo.
Mrs. Rodriguez was born in Alamo and had lived there all of her life.
She is preceded in death by a daughter, Martina Jackson Luna; a brother, Rumaldo Espinoza; a sister, Guillerma Chavarria; her parents, Guadalupe and Rito Medrano and Juan Garcia.
Mrs. Rodriguez is survived by her husband, Luis Rodriguez of Alamo; seven children, Viola (Benny) Hirsh, Gilberto Rodriguez, Rosalinda Rodriguez (Telesforo) Garcia, Hilda Rodriguez Guzman, Jose Luis Rodriguez, and Jose Ramon Rodriguez, all of Alamo and Maria Luisa Rodriguez (Roberto) Gaytan of Mt. Home, Idaho; 31 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Alfonso Morin of Joliet, Illinois.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service, today, January 5, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
