LUIS G. RODRIGUEZ

ALAMO - Luis G. Rodriguez, 82, died Friday, September 10, 2010 at his residence in Alamo.

Born in Agualulco, SLP, Mexico, Mr. Rodriguez had lived in Alamo all of his life.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Rodriguez; a daughter, Martina Jackson Luna; and a son, Gilbert Rodriguez.

Mr. Rodriguez is survived by five children, Maria Luisa Rodriguez (Roberto) Gaytan of Mt. Home, Idaho, Rosalinda Rodriguez (Telesforo) Garcia, Hilda Rodriguez Guzman, Jose Luis Rodriguez and Jose Ramon Rodriguez, all of Alamo; 19 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; a brother, Rafael Rodriguez of Monterrey, N.L., Mexico; and two sisters, Carmen Rodriguez of Monterrey, N.L., Mexico and Catalina Rodriguez of Dallas, Texas.

Dad, thank you for being the greatest husband, father, and grandfather to us. You will be dearly missed by all. We will remember you always, your laughter, the kind words you gave to all, and above all we will never forget your beautiful smile. You will always be in our hearts forever. You are with your lifetime partner and son, where we will all meet together soon. We love you always.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm prayer service, today, September 12, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be held at 2 pm, Monday, September 13, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Pallbearers will be Fabian Barrera, Reymundo Hernandez, Felipe Garcia, Gilbert Rodriguez II, Jose Ramon Rodriguez and Danny Rodriguez.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
