MARIA DE LA LUZ "LUZITA" RODRIGUEZ
EDINBURG - Maria De La Luz Rodriguez, 98, died Friday, March 23, 2012, at Solara Hospital in Edinburg.
Born in Mexico, Mrs. Rodriguez had lived in Edinburg most of her life.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jacinto Sanchez Sr.; her parents, Severiano and Estefana Luna; a son, Jesus Sanchez; a grandson, Joe Sanchez Jr.; and two granddaughters, Leticia Sanchez and Rosa Linda Pintor.
Mrs. Rodriguez is survived by three sons, Jacinto Sanchez Jr., Manuel Sanchez, both of Santa Maria, California, Jose T. Sanchez, of Manchaca, Texas; a daughter, Josefina S. Pintor, of Dallas, Texas; 28 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Sunday, March 25, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 26, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
