Reynaldo "Rey" Rodriguez

REYNALDO “REY” RODRIGUEZ
EDINBURG – Reynaldo “Rey” Rodriguez, 63, died Friday, April 7, 2017, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.
Mr. Rodriguez was born on December 23, 1953 in Ennis, TX. Rey enjoyed spending time with his family barbecuing, as well as watching movies and wrestling. He was always the attention getter of the crowd, and enjoyed joking with everyone. The love he had for his dog, Sam was unmeasurable. Reynaldo was a master electrician and owned his own company, Rey’s Electric, which he was very proud of.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Esther Rodriguez; and a sister, Shelly Rodriguez.
Reynaldo is survived by his wife, Florencia “Flor” Rodriguez of Edinburg; four children, Reynaldo Rodriguez Jr., Ricardo Rodriguez, Daniel Rodriguez, all of Edinburg, Gladys (Edgar) Ramos of Houston; three grandchildren, Nereida Gonzalez, Alejandro Gonzalez, Jessica Ramos; four brothers, Jesus (Mary) Rodriguez of Mission, Arnoldo (Teresa) Rodriguez of Palmhurst, Alfredo Rodriguez, Ruben (Maria C.
) Rodriguez, both of Edinburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Edinburg.
