SHELLY "CONCEPCION" RODRIGUEZ EDINBURG - Shelly "Concepcion" Rodriguez, 63, died Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at her residence in Edinburg. Born in Forest City, Arkansas, Ms. Rodriguez had lived in Edinburg most of her life. Her passion was spending time with her family, particularly with her nephews and nieces, as well as her beloved pets. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Ester Rodriguez. Shelly is survived by her five brothers, Jesus "Jesse" (Mary) Rodriguez, Jr. of Mission, Reynaldo (Flor) Rodriguez of Edinburg, Arnoldo (Maria Teresa) Rodriguez of Palmhurst, Alfredo (Elizabeth Zamora) Rodriguez, Ruben (Maria C.) Rodriguez, both of Edinburg; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, October 3, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, October 4, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
