RAUL RODRIGUEZ, SR.
EDINBURG – Raul Rodriguez Sr., 99, entered eternal rest Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Amara Hospice in Edinburg.
Born in McAllen, Raul had lived in Edinburg all of his life and a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in San Carlos.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Carlota Rodriguez; six children, Maria Elva, Maria Irene, Maria Eloisa, Francisco, Raul Jr., Jose; his parents, Urbano and Maria Rosario Rodriguez; and two brothers, Urbano and Santos Rodriguez.
Mr. Rodriguez is survived by nine children, Maria Antonia (Miguel) Mercado of Edinburg, Valentin (Rosaura) Rodriguez of McAllen, Urbano (Maria) Rodriguez of Seguin, Amancio (Estella) Rodriguez of Edinburg, Ismael (Eva) Rodriguez and Eduardo (Patricia) Rodriguez, both of Seguin, Francisco (Ofelia) Rodriguez of Sanger, CA, Eliazar (Amelia) Rodriguez, Maria Elodia (Eliseo) Abrego, both of Edinburg; daughter-in-law, Dominga Rodriguez; 39 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in San Carlos. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
