REYES F. RODRIGUEZ SR.
EDINBURG – Reyes F. Rodriguez Sr., 85, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, May 29, 2021.
Born January 6, 1936 in Mexico, Reyes was a life-long resident of Edinburg and worked at Haggar Clothing Company for over 30 years. He loved watching baseball, softball, playing bingo, socializing with his
friends at the centro, and rooting for the Dallas Cowboys. Reyes was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather with a kind and generous heart.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Evelia G. Rodriguez, the love of his life; his son, Reyes Rodriguez Jr.; his parents, Benita Flores and Nemesio Rodriguez; three siblings, Valeriano Rodriguez, Celia Zamarripa, and Clara Flores.
Reyes is survived by his children, Evelia (Eduardo Sr.) Hinojosa, Benita (Felipe Sr.) Alvarado, Maribel Hernandez, Roberto (Veronica) Rodriguez Sr., Rodolfo (Monica) Rodriguez, and daughter-in-law, Ana R. Estrada; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lydia Coronado, Rosa Anzaldua; and numerous nieces and nephews; as well as his beloved fur baby, Skippy.
Visitation will be held on today Tuesday, June 1, 2021 from 5 to 8 p.m., and the Rosary at 6 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E Canton Rd., Edinburg, TX.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 2,
2021, at 12 p.m. noon at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
