Roel Cano, 55, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.
Roel was a family man who always put his family first and provided unconditional love and support for his wife, children and mother. He committed 20 years to protecting and serving our nation's borders with US Customs and Border Protection.
He is preceded in death by his father, Felipe Cano; a brother, Felipe Cano Jr.; and a sister, San Juana Cano.
Roel is survived by his wife, Veronica R. Cano; three children, Philip Houston Cano, Kimberlee Ann (Alex Rzasnicki) Cano, and Tennessee Cano; mother, Maria Cano; a sister, Nora Belveal; and a brother, Ricardo Cano.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary today, September 26, 2023, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September, 27, 2023, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in San Juan. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
