Roel Sanchez

Roel Sanchez, 49, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at Doctor's Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.
Roel Sanchez was born in McAllen, TX, on November 1, 1973, to his loving parents, Raymundo and Olga Sanchez. As a loving son, Roel dedicated his life to taking care of his aging parents. He had a strong love for his siblings, nieces, and nephews, and found great joy in the friendships that he held dear to him. One of his biggest enjoyments was Christmas time, when he would lavish his loved ones with heartfelt gifts, always putting his family's needs and joy above his own.
Roel is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Olga Sanchez; his brother, Roland; and his niece, Pricilla.
He is survived by his three sisters and two brothers, Mary Ann Cheaney, Laura (Leigh) Ward, Cynthia (Carlos) Molina, Ray (Eunice) Sanchez, and Rene (Judy) Sanchez; and numerous nieces and nephews. Roel's legacy of giving and caring for others will live on through all of those that loved, and whose lives he touched.
Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, July 28, 2023, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in San Juan. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
