Romana Alcala

EDINBURG – Romana Alcala passed away Friday, March 21, 2025, at her residence in Edinburg.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lorenzo Alcala; four children, Damiana Martinez, Jose Alcala, Esteban Alcala, Margarita Tolkitt; her parents, Jose Roman and Maria De Jesus Quezada; three siblings, Guadalupe, Manuel, and Jose Roman.

Mrs. Alcala is survived by her ten children, Angelita Alcala, Alberto Alcala, Elizabeth A. (Oscar) Garcia, Ester Alcala, Lorenzo Alcala, Jr., Marcos (Angie) Alcala, Maria Magdalena (Noe) Villarreal, Abigail (Ralph) Moreno, Hilda (Tom) Colesberry, Yolanda (Ruben) Del Bosque; several grandchildren, and numerous, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. prayer service Monday, March 24, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Unidos En La Vision in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Valle De La Paz Cemetery in Hargill.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
