ROSE MARIE ALANIZ

ALAMO – Rose Marie Alaniz, 68, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.

Ms. Rose Marie was one of the founding members of the Catholic Daughters of America Alamo chapter and was a member of the organization for 25 years. She was also very devoted to her home parish of Resurrection Catholic Church. Ms. Rose was well-loved by her family, friends, and the community she served in many ways.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Inocencio and Eustolia Alaniz and five siblings: Elias Alaniz, Noe Alaniz, Inocencio Alaniz, Rafael Alaniz, and Norma Alaniz.

Ms. Rose Marie is survived by two siblings, Maricela Waddington and Jesus Alaniz, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, with a 6 p.m. rosary at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. The funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Alamo.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
