Ruben Garza, Sr.

RUBEN GARZA, SR.

PHARR – Ruben Garza, Sr., 94, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Mission Valley Nursing and Transitional Care.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Nestor and Escela Garza; and his eight siblings.

Ruben is survived by his wife, Ramona Garza; three children, Juan Guadalupe (Olga Alicia) Garza, Ruben Garza, Jr., and Maribel Castro; five grandchildren, Natalie Monique Cortez, Juan Guadalupe Garza, Jr., Christopher Loren Garza, Klaryssa Esela Castro, and Alejandro Daniel Castro; two great – grandchildren, Gianna Vella Cortez and Mila Monique Cortez.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with a 6 p.m. prayer service, Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m., Friday, December 6, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr
