GUADALUPE RUBIO
ALAMO - Guadalupe Rubio, 81, died Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.
Mr. Rubio was born in Poncitlan, Jalisco, Mexico and had lived in Alamo since 1957. He was a member of Liberty Temple in Pharr.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Ofelia Rubio; a brother, Jose Rubio; and a sister, Josefina Rubio.
Mr. Rubio is survived by five children, Guadalupe Rubio, Jr., of Lewiston, Maine, Dario (Odilia) Rubio and Ascencion (Enebeth) Rubio, both of San Juan, Ramon Rubio, of Pharr, Leticia Rubio, of Alamo; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jose Manuel Rubio, of Indio, California.
A prayer service was held Thursday, July 1, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 am today, July 2, 2009, at Liberty Temple in Pharr. Officiating will be Rev. Salome Villarreal and Juanita Villarreal. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
