MARGARITA RUIZ
ELSA - Margarita Ruiz, 94, died Saturday, December 18, 2010, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
Born in Mexico, Mrs. Ruiz had lived in Elsa most of her life and was a member of United Methodist Church in Elsa.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Benito Ruiz; and two sons, Benito Ruiz Jr. and Lisandro Ruiz.
Mrs. Ruiz is survived by four children, Carolina R. (Laurence) Perotti, of San Antonio, Texas, Jose (Guadalupe) Ruiz, Raquel R. Fredrick, both of Elsa, Heloy Ruiz, of San Carlos; 18 grandchildren, Joe (Sandra) Lopez, Robert Lopez, Orlando Lopez, George (Mary Jane) Lopez, Magdalena (Kevin) Norris, Margarita Ruiz, Joe (Martha) Ruiz, Jacob Ruiz, Michael Sepulveda, Valerie (Marty) Alvarez, Heloy Ruiz Jr., Sofia, Lee Ruiz, Demi Ruiz, Carol, Rachel, Benito Ruiz Jr. and Randy Ruiz; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Jesusita Rodriguez and Sixta Garza, both of Elsa.
Visitation was held Sunday, December 19, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 2 pm today, December 20, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Homen Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
