RICARDO RUIZ SAN JUAN - Ricardo Ruiz, 71, died Friday, September 4, 2015, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. He is preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Escobar Ruiz; a brother, Jose David Ruiz; and his parents, Domingo Ruiz and Guadalupe Casas Ruiz. Mr. Ruiz is survived by eight children, Fernando Ruiz, Norma Linda (Juan Manuel) Enriquez, Cynthia Ruiz, Ricardo (Maricela) Ruiz Jr., Irene Ruiz, Pedro (Sonia) Ruiz, Sara (Jose Rodrigo) Gomez, Isabel (Hector) Valdez; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six sisters, Maria Garcia, Eloisa Ponce, Luz Rivera, Yolanda Rivera, Tina Castañeda, Juanita Ruiz; and four brothers, Reynaldo Ruiz, Armando Ruiz, Domingo Ruiz Jr and Rogelio Ruiz. Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Sunday, September 6, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, September 7, 2015, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
