Tomasa Arce Ruiz

TOMASA ARCE RUIZ EDINBURG - Tomasa Arce Ruiz, 79, died Sunday, June 15, 2014, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance. Born in Edinburg, Miss Ruiz had lived there all of her life and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Miguel and Isabel Ruiz; three brothers, Rene, Genaro and Juan Ruiz; and two sisters, Ofelia Garza and Josefina Cantu. Tommie is survived by a sister, Olga M. Ruiz, of Edinburg; two brothers, Reynaldo (Guadalupe) Ruiz and Ricardo (Claudina) Ruiz, both of Oregon; two sisters-in-law, Dora Ruiz and Leonila Ruiz, both of Edinburg; and numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews and grand-nieces. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
