AMADA SAENZ
EDINBURG - Amada Saenz, 78, died Thursday, April 29, 2021, at her residence in Edinburg.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Didaco Villarreal and Rafaela Guerrero; her siblings, Guadalupe Villarreal, Sr., Zeferino Villarreal, Roberto Villarreal, Sr., Paula Hernandez, Bertha Saenz and Gregoria Davila.
Mrs. Saenz is survived by her husband, Eduardo Saenz of Edinburg; a daughter, Nora (Javier) Granado; two sons, Jeffrey (Araceli) Saenz, Eduardo “Eddie” (Liza Ramirez) Saenz, Jr., all of Edinburg; three sisters, Rebecca Sanchez of Edinburg, Maria Saenz of Donna, Dora Villarreal of Edinburg; 11 grandchildren: Eduardo III, Erika, Alyssa, Adrian, Cynthia, Christian, Zachary, Carina, Isaiah, Samantha, and Olivia; and five great-grandchildren: Janelle, Brendan, Athena, Ryan, and Leo.
The Saenz/Granado family would like to thank Nereyda Cepeda and Silvia Rico for the loving care they gave to their mother since being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. The family would also like to thank Amara Hospice, especially Lupita Cabral CNA, Anabelle RN, Leslie RN, and Norma RN.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary, today, May 4, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton Rd. in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
