BERTA SAENZ EDINGURG- Berta Saenz, 74, died Monday, October 21, 2013, at her residence in Edinburg. Mrs. Saenz had lived in Edinburg all of her life. She is preceded in death by her parents, Didaco and Rafaela Villarreal; seven siblings, Zeferino Villarreal, Felix Garza, Pancho Garza, Roberto Villarreal, Reymundo Garza, Paula Hernandez and Gregoria Davila. Berta is survived by her husband, Candelario Saenz of Edinburg; three children, Jose Daniel (Irma) Saenz of Houston, TX, Candelario (Maribel) Saenz of Pharr, Polly Ann (Simon) Garza of Edinburg; five grandchildren, Iris, Cande III, Haron, Roger, Alexandra; two great-grandchildren, Lynessa and Damian Roy; three brothers, Guadalupe Villarreal of Hughson, CA, Pablo Garza of Houston, TX, Isidro Garza of Houston, TX; five sisters, Rebecca Sanchez of Edinburg, Amada Saenz of Edinburg, Maria Saenz of Donna, Dora Villarreal of Edinburg, Susana Garcia of CA; care giver, Teresa Bolonos of San Juan. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, October 22, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
