FAUSTINA “TINA” SALAZAR
EDINBURG – Faustina “Tina” Salazar, 70, died Sunday, June 14, 2009 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.
Born in San Sebastian, Texas, Mrs. Salazar had lived in Edinburg most of her life and was a member at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Gil and Florinda Falcon; a sister, Ofilia Lopez; and a nephew, Alberto Arteaga.
Mrs. Salazar is survived by her husband, Ruben Salazar Sr. of Edinburg; six children, Norma Alicia (Aniceto) Villarreal of La Porte, Texas, Ruben (Bobbi) Salazar, Jr., Melissa (Raul) Paez, Humberto (Jessica) Salazar, Sergio Salazar, all of Edinburg and Belinda Peacock of McAllen; 18 grandchildren; a brother, Pedro Falcon of Cornelious, Oregon; a sister, Olivia Arteaga of Edinburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A rosary was held Monday, June 15, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., today, June 16, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Cremation will take place at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
