SAN JUAN - Felix Salazar, 86, died Thursday, January 28, 2010 at his residence in San Juan.
Born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, Mr. Salazar had lived in San Juan most of his life and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers; and two grandchildren.
Mr. Salazar is survived by his wife, Maria C. Salazar of San Juan; eleven children, Avelina Salazar of Mission, Edmundo (Luisa) Salazar, Dominga (Teofilo) Martinez, Rosario (Juan) Leal, Benito (Maria) Salazar, Ofelia (Manuel Jr.) Cano, Federico (Norma) Salazar, Melissa (Steve) Eguia, all of San Juan, Fermin (Rosa Maria) Salazar of Alamo, Teodoro (Benita) Salazar of Edinburg and Graciela Salazar of Austin, Texas; 47 grandchildren; and 74 great-grandchildren.
A rosary was held Friday, January 29, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., today, January 30, 2010 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
