ISAURA D. SALAZAR
EDINBURG - Isaura D. Salazar, 85, died Wednesday, November 16, 2011, at her residence in Edinburg.
Mrs. Salazar lived in Edinburg all of her life.
Isaura's greatest love was her husband Cris and her eight children. She and Cris owned and operated Salazar Grocery and Market on the east side of Edinburg.
Mrs. Salazar is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Cristobal H. Salazar; her parents, Amado and Margarita Delgado; a grandson, Nicolas Angel Salazar; brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children, Esperanza Salazar Salinas, of Edinburg; Consuelo Salazar of Cenaia, Italy, Christobal (Libertine) Salazar of Edinburg, Esteban (Diana) Salazar, Carlos (Cynthia) Salazar all of Katy, Texas, Eduardo Salazar of Edinburg, Elizabeth (Philip) Wasinger of Fairfax, Virginia, and Ricardo (Joanne) Salazar of Austin, Texas; 19 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, November 18, 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 9 a.m., Saturday, November 19, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Edinburg.
