Maria Cira Salazar, 96, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at San Juan Nursing Home.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Felix Salazar; two grandchildren, Jose and Brenda Salazar; parents, Cesario and Maria Mendoza; two sisters, Flora Contreras, Guadalupe Mendoza; two brothers, Nemorio and Antonio Mendoza.
Mrs. Salazar is survived by her 11 children, Abelina Salazar, Edmundo (Luisa) Salazar, Dominga (+Teofilo) Martinez, Fermin (Rosa Maria) Salazar, Maria (Juan) Leal, Teodoro (+Benny) Salazar, Benito (Maria) Salazar, Ofelia (Manuel) Cano, Federico (Norma) Salazar, Graciela Salazar, Melissa (Steve) Eguia; 48 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; eight brothers; and a sister, Ramona Gonzales.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Friday, September 17, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, September 18, 2021, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
