RAMIRO F. SALAZAR
EDINBURG - Ramiro F. Salazar, 99, entered eternal rest Friday, August 27, 2021, at Thomas E. Creek Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Amarillo.
Ramiro lived in Edinburg most of his life and was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Noemi C. Salazar; a son, Jumencio Roel Salazar; his parents, Fidencio and Herlinda Salazar; four sisters; and two brothers.
Mr. Salazar is survived by two sons, Ramiro Joel (Janice) Salazar, Jonathan Fidencio (Sylvia) Salazar; four daughters, Rosa Maria (Simon) Camarillo, Margot (Steve) Cortez, Herlinda Omega (+Leonard) Morris, Monica (Dan) Cearley; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary today, August 31, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 7473 of Elsa.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
