ADELAIDA SALINAS
EDINBURG – Adelaida Salinas, 95, peacefully passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at Amara Hospice surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on July 16, 1922, in La Grulla, TX to Pascual and Barbara Salinas. Adelaida will be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, family, and dear friends.
Adelaida was a unique soul. She was never married, but she dedicated her life to her family. Adelaida was a caregiver to her brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. She had patience, compassion, attentiveness, dependability, and trustworthiness. Adelaida enjoyed family gatherings, dancing, mariachis, and cooking for her family. She was dedicated to her catholic faith. Adelaida will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Pascual and Barbara Salinas; five brothers, Antonio Salinas, Santiago Salinas, Felix Salinas, Encarnacion Salinas, Margarito Salinas; four sisters, Julia Salinas, Hermilia Tovar, Adelaida Salinas and Eva Muniz.
Ms. Salinas is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, July 5, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2018, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
