AURORA SALINAS
SAN JUAN — Aurora Salinas, 96, died Saturday, December 31, 2011, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
Born in Yorktown, Texas, Mrs. Salinas had lived in San Juan most of her life.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Felipe F. Salinas; and two daughters, Guadalupe S. Ulloa and Dora S. Hernandez.
Mrs. Salinas is survived by seven children, Elida S. Aguirre, of Weslaco, Maria S. Garcia, of Edcouch, Emma S. Navarro, Manuel Salinas, Maria Del Carmen S. Cruz, all of San Juan, Felipe Salinas, of Coachella, California, Rosa Elvira S. Trevino, of Pasco, Washington; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a brother, Amador Sepeda, of Andrew, Texas.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, January 2, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
