EDUVIJES “VICO” SALINAS MONTE ALTO/EDINBURG - Eduvijes "Vico" Salinas, 75, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 18, 2015. He was born in La Lajilla, MX, to Jose Salinas and Maria Vasquez de Salinas. He is preceded in death by his parents and 5 siblings. Vico is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sara Pena Salinas, 2 children: Nelda (Aaron) Shields, Thelma (David) Esau, and 1 grandchild: Brandon Adam Shields. Surviving siblings are: Bernada Salinas, Santos Arebalo, Guadalupe Salinas, and Porfirio Salinas. Vico is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. A graveside service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco. The family would like to express our deepest gratitude to family and friends who have shared their love and support through prayers, phone calls, and visits. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
