MARIA DE JESUS SALINAS EDINBURG - Maria De Jesus Salinas, 80, entered into eternal rest Friday, April 18, 2014, at her residence in Edinburg. Mrs. Salinas had lived in Edinburg most of her life. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Maria is preceded in death by her parents; and four sons, Juan Alberto, Jesus Carlos, Jose Concepcion, Oscar Luis. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Tomas Salinas; 10 children, Armando Salinas, Maria Victoria Salinas, Mirna Laura (Mario) Salinas, Jose Alfredo Salinas, Maria Magdalena (Arturo) Guerra, Tomas (Bertha) Salinas, Jr., Raul Sergio (Rosa Iris) Salinas, Rosie (Ariel) Gonzalez, Jorge Antonio Salinas, Emilio Javier Salinas; 24 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters; and two brothers. Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m., a 7 p.m. rosary Sunday, April 20, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, April 21, 2014, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
