Olga Leticia Salinas

OLGA LETICIA SALINAS MISSION - Olga Leticia Salinas, 47, died Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Born in Mission, Lety had lived there since 1993 and was formerly of Rio Grande City. She graduated from Rio Grande City High School in 1985 and was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Mission. Although she fought her disease for 23 years, she never gave up. She loved music, she loved to dance and she loved her family who will miss her dearly. She is preceded in death by her father, Roman Salinas. Lety is survived by her mother, Martha S. Salinas; a sister, Nancy (Fred) Cordova, both of Mission; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, September 27, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral mass will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 28, 2013, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Mission. Cremation will take place at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
