ROSENDO “CHENDO” SALINAS MCALLEN – Rosendo “Chendo” Salinas, 67, died Sunday, December 8, 2013, at Doctor’s Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. Born in La Laja, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Mr. Salinas had lived in McAllen most of his life. He is survived by his wife, Irma Gonzalez; five sons, Rosendo Javier (Veronica) Salinas, Eduardo Salinas, Ricardo (Sandra) Salinas, Humberto Salinas, and Josue Salinas; two daughters, Elizabeth Salinas, and Maria Ofelia Salinas; 18 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson; three siblings, Angelica Torres, Humberto Cruz Salinas, and Juan Antonio Salinas. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, December 10, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
