ANTONIO M. SANCHEZ EDINBURG — Antonio M. Sanchez, 86, died Saturday, May 2, 2015, at Amara Hospice Inpatient Facility in Edinburg. Born in Laredo, Mr. Sanchez had lived in Edinburg for 57 years and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Lucia G. Sanchez; 10 children, Terri Sanchez, Angie S. (†Benito) Cano, Yolanda Sanchez, Antonio (Jennifer) Sanchez Jr., Isabel (Silvester) Gonzalez, Esther (Ricky) Gonzalez, Lupita (Polo) Ordaz, Trinidad (Letty) Sanchez, Jesse (Alma) Sanchez, Linda (James) Carrillo, of Virginia Beach; 19 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, San Juana (Felipe) Gaona, of San Antonio. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, May 3, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, May 4, 2015, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors of Palm Valley Health Care, Solara, and Amara Hospice for the care given to our father and the support offered to our family.
